WHY WE BUILT THIS
Weddings are one of the most important days of a person's life. Every detail is chosen with intention — the flowers, the music, the vows, the people in the room. And yet, one of the most common stressors for couples and their guests often goes unaddressed: the children. Who's watching them during the ceremony? Will they be okay during cocktail hour? Can mom and dad actually enjoy tonight without stepping away every ten minutes?
We started Nanny at the Altar because we believe your wedding day should be fully experienced — by everyone. The couple, the parents, the grandparents, the friends who flew in just to be there. When the little ones are genuinely cared for, the whole room exhales. That's what we're here to create.
HER STORY
Working with children wasn’t a career Lianna chose—it was something that came naturally to her from a young age. As the oldest sibling, she spent much of her childhood helping care for her younger brother, learning early on the patience, responsibility, and attentiveness that come with looking after little ones.
As she got older, babysitting quickly turned into nannying, and what began with family and friends grew through word-of-mouth referrals from families who trusted her with their children. Throughout college, she worked as a nanny, building lasting relationships with the families she cared for and becoming a dependable part of their daily lives.
After graduating, Lianna brought that same passion into the classroom, working as a Pre-K and elementary school teacher and classroom support professional. Her experience in both private homes and educational settings gave her a unique understanding of children’s needs at every stage of development.
Today, with more than 15 years of hands-on experience, Lianna has cared for children in countless settings—from family homes and classrooms to weddings and special events. She understands that every child is different and takes pride in creating an environment where children feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. She started Nanny at the Altar because she believes every family deserves to be fully present on days that matter — and that starts with knowing the little ones are in the right hands.
WHAT THAT MEANS FOR YOU
When you book Nanny at the Altar, you're not hiring a sitter. You're bringing in someone who has spent her entire life doing this — someone who genuinely loves children and has the professional background to back it up. Every child at your event will be in the hands of someone who knows exactly what she's doing, who treats every family with care, and who understands what this day means to you.
So you can stop worrying about the little ones. And just get married.
